Resolved Question: i am 16 and i got to a highschool in davenport iowa. and i have always watched college football but like 2 or?

3 years ago i really started watching it. and it made me want to play. and my idol is CAM NEWTON. i have only played football once before in 7th grade but i was not a stater and did not even play quarterback. i will be a junior and on the varsity team next year and the starting quaterback this year is leaving and the guy that is suppose to start next year is my age and he is decent and some of the football players tell me the coaches dont like him because hes too cocky so i am thinking this is the perfect chance for me to take the starting spot. i have been practicing with my brother in the front yard on throwing spirals. i am 5"11 the same height as cam newton when he was 16. so do you guys think i have a chance and what should i do to get prepared for next years football season? many thanks for the answers...
